We’d be having lamb shanks, shish kebabs, and so much more! I couldn’t wait! 📝SUBSCRIBE TO MY NEWSLETTER: 🤍 🌎 MY TRAVEL BLOG: 🤍 Inside our first restaurant, it was like a fancy banquet hall. They say they have the best lamb shank around! Then, as is traditional, they brought us some Iranian tea and sweets! In the kitchen, we watch ed them grill the lamb shanks, lamb chops, and loghmeh, a type of traditional Iranian kebab made from lamb. It’s bigger than kubideh! They were also grilling tomatoes. The meat looked so juicy! The lamb shanks were cooking in their own fat, and looked unreal! Upstairs, they have a luxurious dining hall with opulent walls, tables, and chairs, but we’d be eating downstairs with everyone else! We had everything with rice with barberries and saffron. Mr. Taster broke open an egg and poured out the egg whites. Then, he poured the yolk in started with the rice! The rice was unbelievable, while the lamb chops blew my mind. The combination of the two was unreal! I loved the way the egg glued the rice together, and the rice was so tender and juicy. With the rice, the loghmeh was also incredible. The tahchin had a crispy layer on top, and the saffron flavor was excellent! The lamb shank was huge and so juicy and fatty, it literally melted as I chewed it! It also had a sweetness to it, and the marrow inside the bone was so tasty. The combination of meat, rice, and caramelized onions was a winner! Then, we left and drove 20 minutes to our second restaurant, which almost reminded me of a Greek tavern. It had lots of beautiful painting on the walls. We watched them cook a stew called dizi with tomatoes, lamb, chickpeas, and bean in tiny pots. It slow cooks for 4 hours! Our Shirazi salad contained tomatoes, cucumber, onions, and mint. Then, they brought the dizi. They take the lamb fat into your bowl and mash it. Then, they mash the beans, chickpeas, meat, and potatoes into a puree. I tried mixing it myself with the pestle. It smelled amazing! Then, you crumble your sangak bread into it and add the broth! We also had greens, onions, pickled onions, pickled chilies, and more to eat with it. I loved the fatty dizi with the greens and sangak bread. Adding pickled chilies made it spicy but gave it an amazing flavor. I also liked it with pickled onion, which was potent! Next, I tried a yogurt drink called doogh, which was sour and a bit thin. Next, I ate the mash with the sangak. They sprinkled cinnamon on top, which was amazing! We followed it with Persian tea and bamieh, a traditional sweet that’s basically a small, crispy ball of dough soaked in sugar syrup. Our final stop was Sahand Restaurant, where we watched them make kebabs and chicken marinated in saffron. The kebabs were made of chopped beef topped with a layer of minced lamb, put in the cage, topped with onion juice, and grilled. They also made a koobideh polow, a dish made of rice, chunks of koobideh, grilled tomatoes, sumac, and butter all mixed together. Once everything is added to the pan, you cover it and shake it up to mix it! The also added chilies and then made a cherry polow with lamb neck! The cherry polow was juicy and tart, and I loved the meatiness. Next was the koobideh polow, which was the tastiest, meatiest polow ever! It was also super moist from the butter and tomatoes! Finally, we finished with the kebab and some butter rice, tomato, and chili! I loved the smokiness, the butteriness. It was astounding! 🇮🇷KOOTOOK TRAVEL: 🤍 🇮🇷MR. طی یه رویداد پیشنهاد دادم که به همکارها غذای ایرانی بدیم و مدیر عامل هم موافقت کرد. بعد از کلی ایمیل و مکاتبه و بالا پایین کردن فهرست غذاها، در نهایت به غذایی که روی میز میبینید رسیدیم. هزینه کل این غذا و سرو شد حدود 1660 دلار استرالیا. کلی هم اضافه اومد. حدود 50 نفر از همکارها توی این نهار شرکت کردن، و همه از طعم و کیفیت غذای ایرانی شگفت زده شده بودن و چندین نفر از من پرسیدن که این رستوران کجاست که ما بریم اونجا امتحان کنیم غذاهاشون رو. حتی بعد از نهار هم چندین نفر ایمیل دادن بهم که این انتخاب عالی بود. کوبیده و شیشلیک و جوجه کباب در جا محو شد. کشک و بادمجان هم به شدت دوست داشتن. لیمو عمانی که توش خورش سبزی بود رو دو سه نفر خوردن و میگفتن چقدر ترشه 🤣🤦♀️ که گفتم بهشون نه این رو نباید خورد فقط طعم دهنده هست. فالوده هم براشون گرفتم ولی با تعجب امتحانش میکردن. مدیر عامل شرکت یکسری توضیحات داد، من هم در ادامه در مورد یکسری از غذاها توضیحاتی دادم که در ویدئو میتونید ببینید. We've gone through a few meetings to discussions about the types of meals and their tastes and reduced down the numbers for 50 people, with a cost of about $1650 for the meal you see on the table. Hot Naan is a famous bakery restaurants in Los Angeles that bakes different types of bread such as Sangak and Barbari, and delicious Iranian dishes from all kinds of kebabs such as Kobideh Kebab, Grilled Chicken to Haleem, kale Pache, Iranian stews such as Qorme Sabzi, Gheime, Mirza Ghasemi, Eggplant Curd, Alwieh, Ash reshte, marinated Olive Shallot Yogurt, home made Pickles, etc. But the most important thing about the restaurant is their pizza bread, which I dare say is unique in the world, because they make pizza on sangak bread with two layers of poppy seeds. It's delicious. We also ash reshte, which was very good, and Iranians have a lot of memories with it. After here, we went with Mehdi to eat one of the most delicious koobidehs in Los Angeles in Down town, Los Angeles, at the Shikarchi Restaurant, which many come for the Koobideh to Shekarchi Restaurant. They have different Iranian dishes, such as tahdig, which comes with eggplant gheimeh stew, ghormeh sabzi stew. An interesting thing happened I met one of my good friends named Dan here. We have been friends with Dan for a long time and we were always in touch, and he has a podcast. He does stand-up comedian and we worked together before, we also had talked on his podcast. I decided to taste the food with Dan and we started with the tahdig, which was very delicious. Now the koobideh kebab, which is cooked with Iranian rice, butter, tomatoes and it was unique. The last restaurant of the Iranian food tour in Los Angeles was Rafi restaurant, where we ate all kinds of kebabs, such as koobideh kebabs, barg kebabs, and grilled chicken, various types of stews, such as eggplant gheimeh stew, fesenjan, soup, baghali polo with meat etc., here we ate tahdig with fesenjan stew, which was really delicious. I think the barg kebab was very tender and excellent. We also had lamb chops, which I liked. I recommend you to definitely try the baghali polo here. Mix together to combine and stir constantly for 5 minutes 10- Once the oils start to seep out of the walnut, add the tomato paste and pomegranate molasses 11- Cook this for a few more minutes until the mixture appears glossy then add the salt, black pepper, cinnamon, saffron water and stock 12- Mix thoroughly with the walnut and onions, till the walnut paste has dissolved into the liquid and the bottom of the pot feels clean 13- Add your poultry back to the pot, then turn the heat up to high 14- Once it comes to a simmer, turn the heat down to a very low setting and cover with a tight fitting lid 15- Allow it to cook for 2 hours (1 hour chicken) and then check your meat for tenderness. Remove it from the pot when soft and cooked through 16- Place the pot back on the stove and allow it to continue cooking till it has simmered for a total of 3 hours 17- Add the meat back to the pot, allowing it to warm through, then serve immediately 18- Garnish with pomegranate seeds and parsley, serve with steamed basmati rice

Farideh is making Ash-e Reshteh, a thick and herbaceous Persian noodle soup with four kinds of flavorful toppings. The soup, which is traditionally served in springtime for Nowruz, the Persian New Year, is made with copious amounts of greens like spinach, cilantro, parsley, and scallions. The soup is packed with green lentils, kidney beans, navy beans, and chickpeas, as well as enriched flour noodles.
